If you’re a fan of Electronic Art’s Star Wars games then you may want to listen up. Late last night a report was released by Kotaku that mentioned the fact that there are, apparently, two brand new Star Wars games currently in development at EA.

According to the report released by notably correct insider Jason Schreier, the first new game in development is a sequel to 2019’s Star Wars Jedi: Fallen OrderThis really shouldn’t come as a surprise or shock to anyone considering both how well the game sold and how well it was received. It was really only a matter of time that we heard about a sequel getting greenlighted, however, it’s nice to finally get a confirmation.

The second game rumored to be in development is a “smaller, more unusual project” that’s in development at Motive Studios. No other details were given about the title and it’s a bit hard to speculate about what it could be. Will it see the light of day or will it end up being canceled before it’s even announced? Who knows and with EA’s current track record, it’s anyone’s guess.

EA’s last two Star Wars games have both been successful in one way or another, so it’s no surprise that more are in development. We already mentioned the wildly successful Fallen Order, but the publishing giant eventually found success with Battlefront II after a rough start.

Both of the aforementioned titles are available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PC. If I had to hazard a guess, I would say that the two titles in development won’t be available until the next-generation consoles hit store shelves.
