Tom Clancy’s EndWar and HAWX Hit Xbox One Backward Compatibility Today

As is custom every Tuesday, Microsoft has today revealed the newest slate of titles that are joining the ever-growing Xbox One Backward Compatibility program.

Today’s additions to the list include two Tom Clancy installments from the Xbox 360 that haven’t been heard from in quite some time. Tom Clancy’s EndWar, Ubisoft’s modern war RTS which actually turned 10-years old this week, is now playable on Xbox One. Alongside EndWarTom Clancy’s HAWX, the arcade jet fighter title which launched in 2009, has also now hit the service.

Honestly, these are two games that I completely forgot existed for the most part. There used to be way more Tom Clancy properties during the Xbox 360 and PS3 generation than I originally thought. While HAWX eventually received a sequel in 2010–appropriately titled Tom Clancy’s HAWX 2–neither of these specific franchises has been heard from in this current console generation. I’d have to imagine that Ubisoft has no plans of reviving either anytime soon.

As always with these new additions, if you still own the disc versions of each title then you can pop them into your Xbox One right now to begin playing. Otherwise, you can download EndWar off of the Microsoft Store right now. HAWX, on the other hand, doesn’t seem to be available digitally at the moment, so hopefully, you still have a physical copy.
