The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt has a vast cast of memorable characters. It prides itself on being a narrative-driven romp through a rich Tolkien-esque world. The marketing campaign of coinciding digital marketplace sales of The Witcher 3 with the launch of the Netflix show, was evil genius-level smarts. It ensured that the game reached a new audience and gained more concurrent users than at any time since launch.

The popularity of the character roster, and those avid enough to dedicate tens of hours of their time to accurately recreating their favourite looks, is not a new phenomenon. Here at DualShockers, we’ve covered The Witcher cosplay before. The costume design throughout the game certainly provides a wealth of source material for budding cosplayers to work with, no character more so than Ciri. The strong heroine has for years gained a loyal following. Professional cosplayer and model, Sophie Katssby, has done her best to pay homage to that.

This fantastic photoshoot goes beyond the usual look-a-like treatment. We get to see the older Ciri, that we know and love from The Witcher 3, in an on-brand environment with great atmospheric lighting and with attention to detail (the only thing missing being her sword, “Zireael”). A large part of the latest game is the fate of Ciri and where she ends up as a result of the decisions you make throughout your playthrough. It’s safe to say her future is in good hands with Sophie at the helm, as you can see from the gallery below.

The Russian cosplayer isn’t just limited to recreating characters from CD Projekt Red’s catalogue, although she did give the pink-haired women from Cyberpunk 2077’s promo art a good go.

With Netflix confirming that “The Witcher” had been renewed for a second season before the original even debuted, Sophie (and others) will definitely get more chances to bring the on-screen characters to life. If you haven’t picked up The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Complete Edition for Nintendo Switch yet, you’re really doing yourself a disservice. The game features over 150 hours of content with both critically acclaimed DLC expansions (Hearts of Stone & Blood and Wine) included.

In the meantime, be sure to check out more from Sophie Katssby via her dedicated Patreon and Twitter.
