If you love an exploration game that promotes Celtic, Gaelic and Anglo Saxon culture as well as implementing a puzzle system, action-roguelike, platforming and psychological horror, you may very well enjoy The Silent Tombs. Primordial Game Studios who are based in Dundee, Scotland, are launching their brand new Kickstarter next month that will allow players to explore the hidden history of the United Kingdom whilst in the process, uncovering ancient Celtic, Gaelic, and Anglo-Saxon roots.

Founded by Vaughan Holloway (Ex-Junkfish Game Designer) and Konstantinos Kalogiantsidis (3D Artist), Primordial Game Studios are currently developing their very first project in which an educational approach to UK History, involving authentic facts, culture and an archive of knowledge for players to learn more about UK Heritage will be at the forefront of the title. The Silent Tombs will guide players through an atmospheric puzzle game where even the tombs are equipped with ancient alarm systems to really get your heart pumping.

Over on the Primordial Game Studios website, it tells curious players a little bit more about what’s in store for them throughout the game. “Under a millstone clogged with dirt, grass, and roots, hidden from the world for thousands of years, you find a tomb complex, filled with strange symbols, traps, treasures, and the start of a hidden story. Using a plethora of innovative gameplay mechanics, and an educational approach to history (involving authentic facts, culture, and an archive of knowledge for players to learn more about UK heritage), The Silent Tombs is much more than a game. It’s a window into a fascinating history many people may not even be aware of.”

The studio also hopes to team up with the Historic Environment Scotland and other global organizations so that they can accurately incorporate fascinating history into The Silent Tombs in ways that have not been done before, representing ancient monuments, cultures, and events in an authentic manner. Going around uncovering tombs is only half the fun as the title also offers a unique storyline in which every tomb is different and is randomly generated in a new system called “Procedural Narration”. To allow the player to completely soak up this atmospheric game, Primordial Game Studios are using Unity’s HDRP Pipeline for HD Textures, Volumetric Lighting, and complex Particle Effects, as well as incorporating Wwise’s Audio Integration to create a truly immerse player experience.

If you would love to back this unique game and also offer your support to an indie studio, The Silent Tombs Kickstarter will begin in a few weeks on January 4 right here where you can also follow for updates regarding the development of the game. At present, The Silent Tombs is looking to launch on PC but later down the line, the studio may release the game on other systems.
