The Medium is one of the first first-party Microsoft titles to hit the market after the launch of the Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S. According to the developers behind the game, it has had quite a successful launch and has already recouped the development and promotion costs.

In an interview with money.pl, a Polish financial outlet (translated by industry analyst MauroNL), Bloober team wasn’t bashful about the success they have seen. In the piece, it stated: “Sales of The Medium reached levels that covered the production and marketing costs of the game, producer Bloober Team reported. The game debuted on the market on Thursday, January 28 this year.”

It looks as if Xbox Series X|S owners were greatly looking forward to the launch of this game. The new Microsoft console really hasn’t had much in terms of exclusives, so plenty of gamers might have been itching to nab this game.

On top of that, The Medium was available on Xbox Game Pass. As we have seen in the past, the subscription service has only helped developers sell more copies of their games due to word of mouth. Smaller developers have often shared the rise of their sales when their games make their way to the service.

The Medium is currently available for Xbox Series X|S and PC. The game is also available to Xbox Game Pass Subscribers. If you would like more information on the game, make sure to check out DualShockers’ official review of the game right here.
