It’s been two years since the launch of Nintendo Switch, and what better way to celebrate then tribute to (arguably) the console’s best game? And that is exactly what fans are doing, sharing some pretty amazing Disney-like art of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild crossed with Twilight Princess.

Resurfaced earlier today on The Legend of Zelda‘s official subreddit, someone shared some art from Oslo-based artist Malin Fatch:

The image merges both Heroes of Time from both Breath of the Wild and Twilight Princess as they lounge on a boulder. The artstyle is definitely a deviation from the more light aesthetic of BotW and darker elements of Twilight Princess. Instead, I’m catching closer vibes to modern Disney, while still distinct on its own.

And I suppose that should be a surprise — Falch has covered a ton of other styles on her DeviantArt, including plays on Big Hero 6 and How to Train Your DragonAccording to her Instagram page, she was inspired to draw this ahead of even playing the game given how stunning the initial trailer was. In fact, she created some more art out the gate around The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild:

With the latest reveal of The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening remaster for Nintendo Switch, we have definitely seen an influx of cool fan projects. Whether this includes an awesome Wind Waker automaton or a $2,400 Hyrule-themed wedding gown, there is no doubt we will see more fun fan things pop up as we near that game’s release.

If you haven’t picked the game up yet (and most have), The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is available on the Nintendo Switch and Wii U. You can grab that game via Amazon if you are so inclined. Meanwhile, go check out some of Malin Falch’s other work including her comic series Nordlys, which you can keep track of via her Instagram.
