With 2019 now behind us, the decade of the 2010s has officially ended, with many looking back on the pop culture and entertainment that defined the last 10 years. Over at DualShockers, we ended up making our very own staff list of the best games of the last 10 years, while fans on the PlayStation Blog chose their own Game of the Decade in a recently-released poll.
Over on the PlayStation Blog, a fan poll held on the blog gathered together votes for what Sony fans felt were the top games of the last decade. After collecting all the votes, the top-voted game as chosen by the community was The Last of Us. This shouldn’t exactly come as too much of a shock given the impact that the game has had over six years later from its original release, but it’s still no less reason to include what is arguably one of the decade’s most important games. According to the blog, The Last of Us took over 11% of the total votes collected by fans in the poll.
Alongside The Last of Us, the runners-up for the PlayStation Blog’s Game of the Decade vote were God of War at #2 and The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt at #3, which are clearly still relevant and wildly popular even several years after their release. That especially seems to go for The Witcher, as the game has seemingly gotten a second wind by players after the release of the first season of Netflix’s TV series based on the books, with the game hitting its all-time highest concurrent player count ever.
