The Game Awards 2018 is happening on December 6, 2018. Here’s where you can watch it and everything else you need to know before it starts.

In recent years The Game Awards (hosted by Geoff Keighley) have been as much of a place for reveals as they have been for recognizing the most important titles in gaming. Last year we heard about PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds leaving early access and got another weird, trailer for Death Stranding. You know… the one with the baby in the throat. That was in addition to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of The Wild being crowned the 2017 game of the year.

This year it’s been made known that the directors working on Avengers 4 are going to be presenting at the show as well. We might even see our first look at the sought-after sequel. And while CD Projekt Red has announced it will not be announcing anything about Cyberpunk 2077 (bummer), we are getting a new trailer for Rage 2, as well as some news about Anthem. Throw in some Fortnite news, and we are expecting a lot of big things happening at The Game Awards 2018.

If you’re interested in any of that, or if you’re just looking to see who takes home the GOTY award, here’s where what you need to know:

When:

The Game Awards will air on Thursday, December 6 at 8:30 pm ET/ 5:30 pm PT. The broadcast is coming from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, California.

Where:

Like many gaming events, The Game Awards 2018 will be viewable on many streaming platforms. We can’t guarantee which one will have the least delay though, because that always seems to be just pure entropy.

You’ll also be able to watch The Game Awards on Steam, PlayStation, and Xbox. YouTube will be streaming the show in 4K if you’re interested in that.
