Today developer Massive Entertainment and publisher Ubisoft announced a brand new update for their game Tom Clancy’s The Division.
First off, players will now have a new area to explore titled West Side Pier, which will be located just to the left of Times Square, and right above Hell’s Kitchen. A new social space will also be opened titled Camp Clinton, which will be located just outside of West Side Pier.
In addition to that, players will also have two new modes to play. The first is called Resistance, and is essentially a Horde mode; you and up to three other friends will have to survive against waves of enemies from different factions. In the second mode titled Skirmish, two teams of four players will be pitted against each other to see how many kills each team can get. The team with the most points after the timer expires wins.
A new trailer was also released showcasing some of the new content found in Update 1.8. You can check it out at the end of the article.
More information about Update 1.8 will be unveiled on August 31st, 2017 at 11 a.m. EDT (8 a.m. PDT) during a livestream on Ubisoft’s Twitch channel.
The game’s last update, 1.7, added Global Events, a ton of new customization features, and fixed a ton of bugs that were plaguing the game. That was released just a few weeks ago, on August 15th, 2017.
Tom Clancy’s The Division was originally released on March 8th, 2016, and is available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PC.
