FuRyu launched the first trailer for The Caligula Effect: Overdose, a PlayStation 4 remaster of the PlayStation Vita exclusive RPG, The Caligula Effect.

The trailer gives players a preview of the gameplay and a chance to see some of the updates that The Caligula Effect: Overdose will receive for this version. Developed using Unreal Engine 4, The Caligula Effect: Overdose will feature many new updates including, visuals, framerate, new dungeons, the option for a female protagonist, multiple endings, new songs, and a new room for Go-Home members to meet in.

In case you missed our review, these updates are something that the PS Vita version desperately needed. The Caligula Effect is an ambitious game with a unique battle system that requires more hardware power than the Vita could supply. However, the game was still inherently good.

Additionally, the trailer reveals that Himika Akaneya will voice Kuchinashi and Shugo Nakamura will voice Ostinato Musician Stork.

Recently, the developer released The Caligula Effect: Overdose‘s first teaser trailer and announcement detail.

The Caligula Effect: Overdose is in development exclusively for PlayStation 4 and set to release on May 17 in Japan.

Currently, there is no western release announcement.
