Tekken has now recorded over 47 million copies sold overall for the series, which is comparable to Street Fighter‘s recorded 45.8 million copies sold. The game was well-received by us here at DualShockers for bringing a huge cast and fluid combos and movement mechanics, making this iteration of the 3D series the juggernaut that it is in the fighting game community. With titles including Dragon Ball FighterZ  and SoulCalibur VI Bandai Namco seems to have the fighting game genre on lock.

Most recently Tekken announced a Season 2 pass at this year’s EVO Finals which included balance changes, new characters including Anna Williams, Lei Wulong and Negan from The Walking Dead. On top that, the Tekken World Tour Finals are in December so stay tuned to DualShockers for more Tekken 7 announcements that are sure to appear soon.
