Known for unique titles like D4: Dark Dreams Don’t Die and Deadly Premonition, developer Hidetake “Swery” Suehiro is attempting something even more unique with his in-development project The Good Life, and now a second chance to bring the game to life is happening through the power of crowdfunding.

Deadly Premonition creator Hidetake “Swery” Suehiro has announced that The Good Life has returned to the crowdfunding stage, as the game’s development team has launched a new campaign through Kickstarter to fund the game’s development, after its previous campaign last year on Fig that fell short of its $1.5 million goal. This time around, the team is aiming for a funding goal of just under $648,000.

The Good Life is being co-developed by Swery’s studio White Owls and G-rounding (led by Panzer Dragoon creator Yukio Futatsugi), and the game itself is targeting a release in sometime during Q3 2019 for PS4 and PC, with the campaign to run from now through May 4th, 2018.

As with any other Kickstarter campaign, various tiers for pledges have been unveiled including keys for the game once it releases, while more elaborate rewards for higher tiers of supporting the game include a credit in the game, the soundtrack, and even up to a visit to White Owls’ studio and dinner with Swery in Osaka, Japan for $10,000.

In addition to the launch of the game’s new crowdfunding project, the team also released a new Kickstarter campaign video highlighting the team’s goals for the project, along with new comparison footage showing the game’s visual progress from when it was seen last year.
