While this year has brought plenty of new fighting experiences to fighting game vets like ARMS and Injustice 2, those looking for something closer to the classics can sit back with the Arcade Edition of Street Fighter IV this week, thanks to Xbox One’s growing library of backwards compatible titles.
Xbox’s Larry Hryb (aka Major Nelson) revealed that the latest addition to the catalog of backwards compatible titles on Xbox One has grown with the addition of Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition, which is now available for Xbox One owners to play through either a physical or digital version of the game.
Along with the original roster of characters and content from the game’s first release, Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition also packs in some extra features with new characters like Yun, Yang, Oni, and Evil Ryu, while also adding in some balance changes brought over from the arcade versions of the title.
With EVO 2017 airing throughout the weekend, the arrival of Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition comes at the perfect time for fighting game fans looking to scratch that itch of getting into a game to celebrate the weekend with one of the Street Fighter series’ best entries.
