Bandai Namco announced in this week’s Famitsu magazine that Super Robot Wars X on Switch and PC will launch on January 10, 2020, in Japan. Seeing what happened with Super Robot Wars V‘s Switch and Steam ports, the game’s Asian English versions will definitely launch the same day. However, just like Super Robot Wars V on Steam, Super Robot Wars X on Steam will be region-locked to Southeast Asia Steam because of copyright issues.
I personally thought they’d wait until the next Super Robot Wars series stream to reveal that date, so this means one less announcement on the stream. This could mean more chances for a new game to be announced, but I think it’s much more likely to happen in another stream this November.
Super Robot Wars T is the latest main game of the franchise, and is currently available on Switch and PS4. It’s also the best selling game of the franchise overseas, so it’ll definitely come to Steam one day.
