Nintendo made a number of surprise announcements during its newly-released Direct presentation, but only one of these said reveals will be available to Switch users today.

As part of Nintendo Switch Online’s growing rotation of free titles from the NES and SNES that can be played for free, Nintendo announced that it is adding Super Mario All-Stars to the service right now. The SNES classic contains (what was at the time) remastered iterations of some of the most popular Mario games of all-time and includes Super Mario Bros. and Super Mario Bros. 3. Oh, and Super Mario Bros. 2 is there as well.

Super Mario All-Stars is one of the more solid additions to the Nintendo Switch Online lineup in quite some time. The growing library also now boasts a pretty solid slate of platformers specifically, with the SNES classic Donkey Kong Country having also been added to the roster back in July.

Typically, Nintendo announces more than one game at a time that is coming to the Nintendo Switch Online lineup, so we could very well hear about some more titles coming to the service in September very soon. That said, given that Super Mario All-Stars itself already contains three full games, perhaps this is all we’ll be getting for the month.

As a reminder, a Nintendo Switch Online membership retails for $3.99 per month or $19.99 annually.
