Back in August, Nintendo announced that Unknown Worlds Entertainment’s underwater survival games, Subnautica and Subnautica: Below Zero would be headed to the Switch. The duo were revealed to have an “early 2021” release date during a Nintendo Direct Indie World Showcase. While little has been shared on the pair’s release since they were announced, Best Buy may have just revealed some interesting information.

The retailer’s website lists “Subnautica + Subnautica: Below Zero – Nintendo Switch” for sale. The listing shows placeholder box art with the two games on and is available to pre-order now for $60, the price of the two $30 games combined. Best Buy’s listing, should it be correct, would also confirm that the titles will be getting a physical release. Sadly, there’s no hint of a release date on the website.

Although Subnautica: Below Zero is also due for a PS4 and Xbox One release at some point, the Best Buy website doesn’t list the double pack for either of those consoles.

The original Subnautica was first revealed back in 2013 before releasing in 2018 and has enjoyed some serious success. It was confirmed at the beginning of last year that the survival title had sold in excess of five million copies. This number is only going to rise with the impending Nintendo Switch release too.

We enjoyed Subnautica in our PS4 review, scoring it a 6.5/10, mainly due to technical hitches. The developers have now had two years to iron these out, however, ahead of the releases on Nintendo Switch. In our official Subnautica review, we said, “Subnautica is well-packaged and visually attractive, but how it tends to perform is questionable at times, which could be from the porting over from PC to the PS4 version that I played.”

For those who are intrigued but can’t wait for the Switch version, the first game is available on PC, PS4 and Xbox One, with Below Zero available in early access on PC.
