Since Spider-Man: Miles Morales release last week, players have been getting stuck into Insomniac Games’ latest title and web-slinging themselves all over the familiar streets of New York City. We’ve seen players recreate the famous “Leap of Faith” scene from Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse and even get themselves turned into a brick due to some ongoing bugs associated with the game. But as with many gaming communities, it’s the incredibly talented artists that shine bright among the many stars, and today we are proud to showcase a striking piece of Spider-Man: Miles Morales fan art by renowned concept artist, David Müller.

If the name sounds familiar to you, it might be because of David’s The Last of Us Part 2 artwork we so love to display here at DualShockers. Throughout his admiration for the game, Kopfstoff – otherwise known as David Müller – has created many amazing works of art that include The Last of Us Part 2 comic book page, Clicker artwork, Dina and Ellie drawings, and of course that amazing Abby mural painted beside an outdoor gym. But The Last of Us Part 2 sketches are only some of David’s artistic endeavors as recently he has taken his own leap of faith into the world of Miles Morales, Spider-Cat and Peter Parker.

As you can see from the images above, David’s attention to detail is second to none. From the wisps of hair on Miles’ eyebrows, the deep furrows nestled on his forehead, and the strands of adorable fluff on Spider-Cat, there is very little left out of this immaculate piece. We even see the slight smudge of smoke in the background from some of New York’s buildings whilst Pete gazes off into the distance and kitty earns some well-deserved rest but still stylishly keeping its mask at the ready in case of some near-by action. For the better part of his life, David has been a huge Spider-Man fan and has constantly partaken in art associated with the franchise. Earlier this year, David had the incredible opportunity to contribute his personal spidersona “spider-spy” in an official Marvel comic release. You can check that out below and for even more, make sure you head on over to his ArtStation where it’s stacked with awe-inspiring illustrations.

If you’re eager for some more of David’s Spider-Man art, you’ll find yourself a treat in the gallery below that also includes a homage to Steve Ditko, an American comics artist and writer best known as the artist and co-creator, with Stan Lee, of the Marvel Comics superheroes Spider-Man and Doctor Strange as well as a concept drawing of Greg Miller in the pre-release PS4 version of Marvel’s Spider-Man. I’d highly advise you to jump over to Twitter and give David a follow so you don’t miss any more of his fantastic concept art.

As you may have seen, an exciting trailer emerged last month showing off a Miles Morales’ cel-shaded suit in which Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse and Spider-Man: Miles Morales crossed pathsAlthough the suit is described as a “launch day bonus”, late adopters need not worry. Insomniac further clarified that the suit is “earnable for everyone. Not finished with trailers, Sony launched another one as Spider-Man: Miles Morales was about to be released where we saw several shots of Miles using his trademark energy strikes to deliver a new level of force behind his blows.

If you happen to be a shoe fan, last week we reported on how Miles’ footwear had changed and instead of him wearing his iconic set of Air Jordan 1 shoes, Miles now seems to prefer red and black Adidas Superstars. Insomniac said that it wanted to honor the sneaker’s 50th anniversary in Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales and even is creating a real pair of these shoes that will go up for sale later this month on November 19. To check out some pretty cool Spider-Man: Miles Morales comic book covers, why don’t you have a look at this article. The five variant covers showcase Miles Morales at different stages in his hero’s journey, of which all are tied back to the eagerly anticipated Spider-Man: Miles Morales.

Spider-Man: Miles Morales is available right now as a PlayStation 5 launch title, alongside the PlayStation 4. If you were lucky enough to grab a PS5, you can pick the title up on Amazon here.
