As one of the most acclaimed games of 2018, Celeste took players hearts with its retro visuals, emotional story, and a soundtrack that truly ranked among the year’s best, and now you can enjoy it to its fullest with the start of the new year.
Limited Run Games has announced that in celebration of the game’s upcoming physical release for PS4 and Switch, the distributor will be streaming the entirety of the Celeste soundtrack from composer Lena Raine on Twitch for 24 hours to coincide with pre-orders going live for the physical release the same day. The soundtrack stream itself will start on Limited Run Games’ Twitch channel starting at 10am ET on January 1, 2019.
If you have yet to jump into Celeste on any platform, the new year is the perfect opportunity to give one of 2018’s best games a try. If that isn’t enough convincing, I would recommend checking out the livestream to at least give the game’s incredible soundtrack a listen, as it’s truly incredible. Celeste ended up making it to #4 on my personal Top 10 list for 2018, and whether you pick up the physical edition from Limited Run Games if you’ve played it before or want to play it for the first time, it’s an experience worth taking on for sure.
