Today, SEGA released the third episode of its animated short series Sonic Mania Adventures, which is aptly titled Sonic & Knuckles. While previous episodes have focused on characters like Sonic, Tails, and Dr. Eggman, this third episode shifts focus to Knuckles and, surprisingly, Ray the Flying Squirrel.
Knuckles begins the episode guarding the Master Emerald from people like Dr. Eggman and Sonic, like usual. Unfortunately, this begin to shake up when Ray the Flying Squirrel shows up looking for Mighty the Armadillo and so evil robots attack. If you want to see more of this charming series, you can check out the previous two episodes.
If you are confused by the inclusion of obscure Sonic the Hedgehog characters like Ray the Flying Squirrel from SegaSonic the Hedgehog and Mighty the Armadillo from Knuckles’ Chaotix, they are here because they will be appearing in Sonic Mania Plus. This is a physical release of last year’s critically acclaimed Sonic Mania that also comes with some new content.
