SMT V – Japanese physical limited edition

Sega and Atlus announced a physical limited edition is being released in Japan, titled the “forbidden Nahobino box”, priced at 16,280 Yen (Tax included) – It contains:

  • A copy of Shin Megami Tensei V on Switch
  • A Mini OST of 2 CDs, 35 tracks in total, containing rearranged versions of several BGMs from Shin Megami Tensei I to IV Final (Apocalypse). Some tracks from SMT V are included as well
  • Demon encyclopedia: An A5 book of 116 pages containing artwork and descriptions of the 200+ demons appearing in SMT V
  • T shirt designed with a theme that fits Nahobino, the name of the protagonist’s and Aogami’s fusion

All of the Limited Edition is included in a case with an illustration themed around the “tree of knowledge” featured in SMT V.

In Japan, as it’s always the case with new game releases, SMT V will have shop specific pre order bonuses. You can check out the list yourself on the official site if you’re planning to import.

As a side note, right now Atlus Japan regularly publishes new SMT V short trailers, introducing the game’s demons. Only four introduction videos have been released so far, but it’s worth keeping an eye on them. Some of the demons in SMT V have new character designs. Some were not featured in Persona 5, and are getting modeled in 3D and HD for the first time.

  • SMT V – Story, world, characters first details

Note that while Shin Megami Tensei V will be available worldwide on November 12, the JRPG will release one day earlier in Japan, on November 11. Exclusively on Nintendo Switch. Lastly, be sure to check out the Japanese E3 trailer if you haven’t yet as it’s different than the English one.
