Sherlock Holmes Chapter One is set in an open-world Mediterannean island in the 19th century, where the young Holmes is going to solve his very first case at the beginning of his career.

Frogwares is a well-known studio in delivering mysterious detective adventures. The studio is mostly known for its Sherlock Holmes franchise, bringing new complicated cases to solve with each entry of the series. This time around, the developers have rolled everything back in time, sending you to the 19th century, where you will take the role of young Sherlock, trying to solve a complicated, mind-bending murder case, which is Sherlock’s first case ever.

The trailer above will give you a quick tour of the game’s world. An open-world island with a gorgeous, deceiving environment that hides lots of dark secrets behind its seductive look. As you search around the city looking for more clues on the murders happening in the island, you will discover the filthy crimes lying behind the city.

The second trailer provides a deeper look at the city and your missions as Sherlock Holmes. Similar to the previous entries of the franchise, you will have some special skills and abilities for finding clues, investigating the crime scenes, and putting all the pieces of these puzzles together to eventually discover the truth behind each case.

One interesting part about the first chapter is a wooden pillar in a remote part of the island with dozens of knives on it. Each knife is a symbol of vengeance, and it’s on you to unfold the stories behind each one of those murder cases.

Sherlock Holmes Chapter One is set to be released in 2021 for PS4, Xbox One, PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC (Steam and Epic Games Store). The exact release date of the game is yet to be revealed.
