Today Sekai Project made several announcements about its upcoming games at Anime Boston and Sakura con.
First of all the studio picked up the publishing of Mahou Arms, an Unreal Engine 4 project in development at Studio Shimapan. It’s an action game in which players lead magical girls in battle against an alien threat. The game’s action combat is definitely inspired by NieR: Automata and it certainly looks promising.
There are three girls to choose from, and in-between battles the player can romance and date them, whole in battle there is plenty of fanservice in the form of destructible armor. Each of the heroines has different romance routes and fighting styles.
Interestingly, the game also has an adult version that will be incoming from Denpasoft. You can catch a glimpse of that here, but keep in mind that the video at the link is very unsafe for work.
The second game is Unwonted Studios’ Warped Reality, which already has a demo available on Steam and tells the story of Kazu, a young technophile trying to make a living in the corporate-dominated world of 2065. The virtual machine he creates caused him to be targeted by criminals, corrupt corporate officials, and plenty of dangers from the virtual worlds themselves.
Ai-Dol is also coming to Steam, and it features art by Melow and writing by ebi-hime. It’s a visual novel with a touch of yuri about virtual idols in which the player will be tasked with saving a convention by finding the creator of the popular Aiko.
NEKO-NIN exHeart 2 is the sequel of NEKO-NIN exHeart by Whirlpool, and brings back Yuura and Tama, introducing new characters like Ritsu the catgirl and Maya the bunny girl who think’s she’s a cat. This is also coming to Steam.
Last, but not least, we get the studio’s first foray on the Nintendo Switch in the form of A Magical High School Girl, a magic crafting rogue-like RPG of which you can see a trailer below.
