If you’re an avid player of Rocket League and you want to get into the holiday spirit, then this may interest you. Today, developer Psyonix officially announced Frosty Fest, an in-game event for the popular e-sports game that features a ton of winter-themed content.

The event will be structured similarly to the Haunted Hallow’s which took place during the middle of October. At the end of each match, players will earn a certain number of Snowflakes based on how they performed, which can, in turn, be used on new items and Frosty Fest crates. Just like all other in-game crates, they can also be given at the end of a match, or they can be purchased using real-life money.

Frosty Fest is set to start in just a few days, on December 11, 2017, with the event ending on January 2, 2018.

While a specific platform list was not revealed, it would be reasonable to assume that the event would take place across all platforms, making this the first holiday-themed event to take place on the recently released Nintendo Switch version of the game.

Rocket League was officially released on July 7, 2015, and is available on the aforementioned platform, as well as PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Windows PC, macOS, and Linux.
