Capcom announced the scheduled Resident Evil Resistance Open Beta Test for PS4 and Steam has been delayed due to technical difficulties.
In an announcement from the Resident Evil website, the PS4 and Steam Resident Evil Resistance Open Beta Test has been postponed to a later date. From the Resident Evil Twitter, the technical issues seem to stem from its matchmaking system. The PS4 beta was originally scheduled for today while the Steam beta was scheduled for tomorrow, March 28. More information will come once the problem is resolved.
Due to technical issues, there is a delay for the RE Resistance Open Beta on PS4 and Steam. The XB1 version is unaffected and is available. We’re working to resolve the issue as soon as we can and will keep you updated. Apologies for the inconvenience.

If you happen to own both Xbox One and PS4, the Xbox One beta test is unaffected by these issues and is available to play right now. The beta test period will last until Friday, April 3 at 3:00 AM EDT.
Resident Evil Resistance is the asymmetrical online multiplayer mode packed in the upcoming Resident Evil 3 remake. Pitting four survivors against one “Mastermind,” the survivors are tasked with escaping the stage as the Mastermind uses cards to place traps and summon creatures. The Mastermind can also take direct control of zombies and the formidable Tyrant to attack the survivors.
As mentioned, this is the multiplayer mode for the Resident Evil 3 remake, a modern retelling of the survival horror classic originally released in 1999. Starring Jill Valentine, you must escape Racoon City while the iconic villain Nemesis hunts you down. Pre-ordering the game will get you a classic costume pack featuring outfits for Jill and Carlos inspired by the original release.
The Resident Evil 3 remake will launch for PS4, Xbox One, and PC on April 3. A demo for its single-player campaign is available now on digital storefronts.
