Resident Evil 3 may have only released last Friday, but intrepid fans have been hard at work on fun mods since the demo dropped. We’ve already seen what Nemesis looks like in a Speedo and witnessed him turned into Thomas the Tank Engine. However, the latest mod is the creepiest one yet. When Animal Crossing and Doom Eternal announced they’d release on the same day, it was a foregone conclusion that we’d get tons of fan mash-ups. What I didn’t really expect was to see the unholy abomination that is Animal Crossing‘s Isabelle’s head on Jill Valentine’s body. I mean, just look at it.
Modder XxCRAZYPOTATOxX on Nexus Mods calls this a mask, but I don’t buy it. Look at how skin-tight Isabelle’s neck is with Jill’s body. Some mad person at Umbrella obviously laser-stiched Isabelle’s actual head onto Jill’s actual body and made this weird video game Frankenstein monster. Also, her eyes don’t appear to change. Imagine the horror zombies undergo when they see those soulless eyes bore into their undead souls as you mow them down. It’s enough to make you feel sorry for those undead terrors.
Whether you play Resident Evil 3 as its originally intended or you add on mods like this one, RE3 is definitely worth your time. It’s an excellent experience with great gameplay and fun characters. The tacked-on multiplayer mode Resistance is decidedly less good. It uses some questionable monetization tactics like XP Boosters and loot boxes. That said, the one vs. many gameplay is pretty okay, I suppose.
Resident Evil 3 is available now on PC, PS4, and Xbox One. The game is about to get a board game adaptation and rumors are starting to swirl about Capcom’s next game in the franchise. Stay with DualShockers for updates.
