Resident Evil 2’s Free DLC ‘The Ghost Survivors’ is Out Today and So is the Launch Trailer

Capcom, News, Originals, PC, PS4, Resident Evil 2, Xbox One

In an already busy day for games, Capcom has today released the free new add-on entitled The Ghost Survivors for Resident Evil 2.

For the uninitiated, The Ghost Survivors allows Resident Evil 2 players to experience the fall of Raccoon City through the eyes of three different folks that were present when the outbreak began. These three include Robert Kendo the gun store owner, Katherine Warren, the mayor’s daughter, and Ghost, who is a special ops agent similar to Hunk. Capcom says these three scenarios are supposed to be “what if?” stories that will allow you to change the course of history that each of these three characters originally met.

In addition, Capcom has today released the launch trailer for The Ghost Survivors which shows off just how each of the three different characters will play. Each different campaign looks to be quite explosive and similar in layout to The 4th Survivor mode which features Hunk. For a free content update, this looks to be a pretty great addition to Resident Evil 2.

As a reminder, Resident Evil 2 has also received a set of new skins for free today as well. If you’ve been wanting to don the classic looks for both Claire and Leon in RE2, bad graphics and all, then those skins are available in-game to use too. It’s a good day if you’re a fan of Resident Evil 2.
