Map variants are nothing new to Call of Duty fans. 2016’s Modern Warfare Remastered saw the release of multiple “seasonal” variants of maps. Now, it seems like this feature is coming to Black Ops 4 in the near future, as two different variants for the maps have been found in the game’s internal files.

The news comes the way of NerosCinema, a popular Call of Duty YouTuber, who claims that a friend came forward with information about two new map variants that were added to the game after the latest update: Firing Range Night and Seaside Sunset. What’s more, is that he has footage of the new maps. Of course, all the footage belongs to NerosCinema, so you can check out his video at the end of the article.

As of the time of this writing, we have no idea how these maps are going to become available to players, however, I wouldn’t be surprised if they become enabled in an upcoming update.

While these would be the first example of map variants coming to Black Ops 4, these wouldn’t be the first maps added since launch, as Nuketown was just added for PlayStation 4 players last week, and Xbox One and PC players two days ago.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is available on all the aforementioned platforms, and has been since October. If you want to pick up the game on Amazon, you can do so by clicking here.
