About a month ago, news popped up that EA was considering working on some remasters of the Command & Conquer series to celebrate its upcoming 25th anniversary. Now, we have confirmation that those remasters are officially coming, along with the development team behind the projects.

Both the original Command & Conquer and Command & Conquer: Red Alert will be receiving remasters from Petroglyph Games. It seems that many of the original team members behind the first games will also be returning to work on these remasters.

Additionally, a new video from EA was also released today officially announcing that Frank Klepacki would also be tied to the projects. Klepacki is the audio designer at Petroglyph and has created much of the iconic music that has been found in the series’ history. You can see the announcement video of him joining the team at the bottom of the page.

As of now, no further release windows or platforms (other than PC) have been given for when these Command & Conquer remasters might arrive. It’s worth noting that the original game launched back in 1995 so if this is a project centered around the franchise’s 25th anniversary, it seems like 2020 is the expected arrival year.

EA and Petroglyph will surely have more to say about these remasters in the coming months, so stay tuned. In the meantime, you can check out Command & Conquer: Rivals, the new mobile version of the game, when it launches early next month.
