Rockstar Games today put out a Red Dead Online beta update detailing that “Title Update 1.05” has been released, gold bars are being gifted, and cash gifts are also being gifted for certain players. Additionally, the store is now available in-game.

Red Dead Online’s new 1.05 update addresses exploits that have been discovered and adds general improvements to the game’s stability and save data. As a thank you, Rockstar are gifting players with 15 Gold Bars, but only for those who have jumped onto the Red Dead Online beta from launch to December 20 next week. Fail to jump on before then, you won’t be eligible for some shiny in-game Gold Bars. Last week Rockstar gifted players 15 Gold Bars, so another 15 Gold Bars means I can buy better teeth!

Awards should be rolling out starting from today and Gold Bars should be delivered by December 24. You’ll see an alert screen when booting up Red Dead Online if you’ve received them.

For those who pre-ordered Red Dead Redemption 2 or purchased the Special or Ultimate Editions will be receiving additional in-game currency (RDO$) with the sum being dependant on the type of game you have.

  • Special Edition Owners: RDO$100
  • Ultimate Edition Owners: RDO$1,000
  • Everyone who pre-ordered: RDO$100 (in addition to Ultimate and Special Edition gifts)

These cash gifts will start on December 21 and will be automatically added to your balance the next time you go onto Red Dead Online during the beta. Also announced in the status update was the official Rockstar store now being accessible in-game. There are also more updates arriving to Red Dead Online in early 2019 which Rockstar state will address many popular bits of feedback.

“We have been poring through incoming community input and suggestions and are working on updates for early 2019 to address many popular bits of feedback including some new anti-griefing measures in the works and other updates to improve gameplay balance. We are also working on lots of new features, modes and additional Red Dead Online gameplay content updates that we are very excited to share more about in the new year.”

You can grab Red Dead Redemption 2 on Xbox One and PS4.
