Today, during a commercial break of the new series Kamen Rider Build, Bandai Namco announced the new fighting action game Kamen Rider Climax Fighters.
The game will release in Japan exclusively for PS4 on December 7th, and it will cost 7,600 yen.
Together with the announcement, we also get the first commercial giving an idea of what the game looks like.
You can check it out below. More information will be provided with a live broadcast on September 9th at 8 PM Japan time.
If you’re not familiar with Kamen Rider (Masked Rider), it’s a long-running tokusatsu franchise super-poupular in Japan.
Created by Shotaro Ishinomori all the way back in 1971, includes 27 TV series, plus a metric ton of specials, theatrical movies, manga and more. If you live in Japan and you haven’t heard of Kamen Rider, you probably have lived under a rock for the last fifty years.
At the moment there is, of course, no mention of a western release for the game, but considering what Bandai Namco has been doing, it wouldn’t surprise me all that much.
