PlayStation has announced that PS Vue will be launching over 200 local channels today with no additional cost to your subscription. The channels include stations from ABC, CBS, FOX, and NBC stations. The full list of cities that are receiving a local channel is quite long and can be accessed here. With the large breadth of cities covered, you’re almost guaranteed to have received a new channel for your PS Vue subscription.
PlayStation claims about 97% of the population of the US now has access to a major broadcast station from the major players just in time for football season and Fall TV premieres. This brings the total channel count to 450 local stations, with more promised to be on the way.
PS Vue is Sony’s television streaming service that is available in plans ranging from $44.99 to $79.99 per month and allows subscribers to stream to their PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Roku, Amazon Fire TV, Android TV, Apple TV, Sony Smart TV, Web, Chromecast, iPad, iPhone, Android phone, and Fire Tablet.
