Today KING Art Games announced that its promising steampunk RTS Iron Harvest will turn to crowdfunding.

While no specific details were provided, we learn that the chosen platform is Kickstarter, and the campaign will start on March 13th.

At the moment we don’t know the set goal or the duration of the campaign, but what we have seen of the project is very promising.

For those unfamiliar with the game, Iron Harvest is set in the alternate-history post WWI world by Polish artist Jakub Różalski, in which nations have developed mechanized walkers that are used as frontline armored units alongside traditional infantry.

Three semi-fictional factions will be included, the Polania Republic, the Rusviet, and the Saxony Empire, and all three will be playable in their own campaign within an overarching story told from different perspectives (pretty much like in the original Starcraft).

The game was announced over a year ago, and if you want to see more, you can enjoy the first trailer, a recent video showing animation, and another focusing on destruction.

Iron Harvest is scheduled to be released in 2018 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. At the moment we don’t know whether the Kickstarter campaign will affect this window.
