Call up Captain Stern and prepare to take on an army of Zigzagoon, because it seems that recent Feebas event isn’t the only Hoenn-themed trick Pokémon Go has up its sleeve this month. There are tons of great features regarding the franchise’s third generation rolling out for the mobile app today.

Many of the creatures that fans of Pokémon: Ruby Version and Pokémon: Sapphire Version would be familiar with are the stars of the show in Pokémon Go’s most recent event. Over the next two weeks, tons of Hoenn based pokémon will appear in the wild with increased frequency.

Along with regular pokémon being unleashed in the wild, trainers also have the chance to come face to face with face with enormous legendary creatures such as water type Kyogre and ground type Groudon through the title’s raids. 7 km eggs will also contain pokémon which originally appeared in generation three.

To top it off, there is a chance of catching shiny variations of common pokémon Zigzagoon and Taillow. Along with this, any Shroomish which evolves into Breloom during the event will learn the move Grass Knot.

To make sure that your avatar is dressed in appropriate Hoenn attire, Team Aqua and Team Magma inspired items are available from the shop.

Pokémon Go is available for both iOS and Android devices. The Hoenn event is active now and will run until January 29, 2019. You can also transfer creatures from the mobile app into the recent Nintendo Switch titles Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Pokémon: Let’s Go, Eevee! Each of these games is available via Amazon.
