Over the past few days, Pokemon GO players have been gaining the ability to transfer Pokemon to Pokemon HOME. This service is the main way for players to transfer their monsters to other games, including Sword and Shield and Let’s Go Pikachu and Let’s Go Eevee. The service has been available for level 40 players since November 11 and has gradually been released to everybody by November 14.

To celebrate this new feature, Niantic has confirmed a new event is inbound, beginning tomorrow, November 17 at 8am P.T. The event will run for just under a week, ending on Monday, November 23 at 10pm.

The event will see certain Pokemon become more common in the wild, including Alolan Sandshrew, Porygon and Slowpoke. The event will also be the first time players will be able to catch a Shiny Slowpoke within the game. Slowpoke will also be more common within raids, alongside Shinx, Timburr, Klink and more. Alongside the aforementioned Pokemon, Cobalion, Terrakion, and Virizion will be available in five-star raids until next Tuesday.

One of the key bonuses of Pokemon HOME integration is the access to mystery boxes for Pokemon GO players. These boxes allow trainers to encounter the Mythical Pokemon Meltan. During this event, players will have the opportunity to catch Shiny Meltan, however, it will only be available during the event window.

There will also be special Timed Research available, which will reward players with Pidgeot Mega Energy, as well as encounters with Slowpoke and Gible.

Niantic also confirmed a range of new cosmetics that will be available, including a Melmetal Jacket, a Melmetal Vest, Melmetal Shoes, and Grand Oak’s Glasses.

Pokemon GO recently held the first of two Community Days this month, with a special Electabuzz available. The following Community will take place next weekend and will give players the chance to catch a shiny Magmar, which when evolved will turn into Magmortar, which learns Thunderbolt.
