While Pokemon Sword and Shield are finally bringing a new generation of Pokemon to Nintendo Switch sometime in 2019, they are not the only Pokemon games arriving on the hybrid console this year. During today’s Pokemon 2019 Press Conference, a new Pokemon Detective Pikachu game was confirmed for Nintendo Switch.

The currently untitled Detective Pikachu game for Nintendo Switch will follow up the story to 3DS game, answering some of its cliffhangers.With Pokken Tournament DX, Pokemon Quest, Pokemon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Eevee!, Pokemon Sword and Shield, and now a Pokemon Detective Pikachu Game, the Nintendo Switch is shaping up to a pretty great system for Pokemon fans. While this new game does not have a release date, the release of Pokemon Detective Pikachu in theaters does cement 2019 as a year for Pokemon fans to remember.
