If you’re a fan of simulator titles then this could be the news you’ve been waiting a long time for. From the makers of Planet Coaster and Jurassic World Evolution comes a brand new zoo-load of fun by Frontier called Planet Zoo which arrives for PCs this fall. In Planet Zoo, you’ll find yourself among authentic living animals, rich management, and limitless creativity where you build and manage a state of the art zoo where animal welfare and conservation comes first.

In Planet Zoo, you can construct beautiful landscapes and habitats, develop specialist exhibitions and research new technologies, as you build a zoo enjoyed by both visitors and your animals. As with any kind of simulator of this type, quite a lot of thought needs to go into it to make sure you get the most out of the experience as the world will react to every choice you make – so you’ll need to care for your animals throughout their lives, study and manage every species to see them thrive, and help them raise young to pass their genes onto future generations.

One of the key aspects of Planet Zoo is that it will have a narrative campaign which is a really great touch by the devs in exposing the player to a different experience while playing a sim game. Being able to witness your animals and visitors respond to how you manage the zoo is another great and important element in understanding how you can do better or where you need to focus your attention on.

Jonny Watts who is the Chief Creative Officer of Frontier says: ‘This is the zoo management game we’ve wanted to make for many years. We’ve challenged ourselves to build on the games we’ve made before and to carry the great legacy of classics like the Zoo Tycoon series forward. We’re taking everything we’ve learned from our past work and focusing on modern values – incredible authenticity, rich management, limitless creativity, and community sharing – to make our best-ever simulation game. We hope you’ll join us when Planet Zoo launches later this year.”

It still remains to be seen if Planet Zoo lives up to its description since we won’t get our hands on it for a while, but it looks like a really immersive and detailed zoo management title that has certainly piqued my curiosity. Hopefully, we will see more of Planet Zoo at E3 this year.
