Today’s UploadVR Showcase gave us a great look at a ton of upcoming games, but one of the most exciting announcements was the PSVR release date for Pistol Whip. Cloudhead Games hit rhythm FPS has been out on PC VR and Oculus Quest for a while now, and it’s awesome to see it coming to more platforms. The game is up there with some of the best VR experiences out there, and I’m so glad my PSVR friends finally get to play it. Check it out.

The PSVR release date isn’t the only thing Cloudhead announced at today’s event. They also gave us a little dive into their ongoing content roadmap. The next slate of songs will come in August when the “Heartbreaker” update drops. It adds three new songs, two modifiers, achievements, and, of course, water guns. The devs are promising “more abstract environments” for the new songs, so I’m excited to see what they have in store.

After that, Cloudhead is dropping “The Concierge” update in Q4 2020. Not too much is known about this release just yet. However, Cloudhead is calling it “a cinematic action campaign”. It includes new enemies, weapons, and mechanics. If it sounds like the biggest addition so far, you’d be correct. This looks to be a huge release for the game that could really change things up in exciting ways.

All that being said, the PSVR release date is the big news here. Pistol Whip is already a super successful VR game, bringing in more than $2 million on the Quest alone. Soon, it will be in even more players’ hands. If you have a PSVR, you have to check this one out when it launches on July 28.
