PQube and Red Entertainment revealed the western release dates for Our World is Ended. The game launches on March 22nd, 2019 in Europe and on March 26th in North America, for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and PC. First screenshots for the English version and a new trailer for the Japanese version are included below. The game’s Day One Edition in the west, containing an artbook among other goods, was detailed as well.

Our World is Ended first released in Japan on PlayStation Vita in 2017, under the name Oretachi no Sekai wa Owatteiru. The game is getting remade as Judgment 7: Oretachi no Sekai wa Owatteiru, releasing in Japan on March 28, and this is the version we’re getting as “Our world is Ended” in the west. Slightly confusing but comprehensible. This is far from being the first time that only a remake or enhanced version of a game gets localized.

Our World is Ended is a sci-fi story starring Judgment 7, a team of seven game developers based in Tokyo, Asakusa. Together, they strive to create a brand new Virtual Reality game, using VR headsets. Things go haywire, however, when they see a vision of the world getting destroyed as they test the VR headsets, and when characters from their game start appearing in the real world.

Judgment 7 is made out of seven people: the red-head and sound creator Asano Hayase, and her blue-haired little sister Yuuno. The scenarist, sunglasses-sporting otaku “Dolphin Number 2″. The main programmer  Sekai Owari, who is also the co-founder of Judgment 7 with “Dolphin Number 2”. The sub programmer and Russo-Japanese girl Tatiana Alexandrovna Sharapova. The gothic lolita and illustrator Natsumi  Yuuki. And last but not least, the main protagonist Reiji Gozen, a part-timer at Judgment 7.

Our World is Ended is over 40 hours long, and features the Selection of Soul System, or S.O.S system. This triggers when protagonist Reiji gets flustered, and all of his emotions will be flung across the screen as words. The choices you pick then will influence how the story will unfold.

Switch and PS4 editions of the game are getting a Day 1 Edition, it will be available to those who pre-order the game or pick it up on launch day. It’ll include:

  • A physical edition of Our World is Ended
  • An exclusive artbook with 100 pages featuring beautiful illustrations of the characters, environments, CGs and much more
  • A quirky keyring of the perverted programmer Owari Sekai’s mascot

Our World is Ended was announced in November in the west with a first trailer. We’ve previously translated the profiles of the new characters appearing in the remake: “Dolphin Number 2″‘s little sister Kurara Umino aka “Jellyfish Number 3”, and the stalker-ish girl Mamori Mimori.

You can find below the first direct-feed screenshots from the English PC version of the game, and the latest Japanese trailer, introducing the characters and some of the game’s story. The song played in the trailer is “Change The World” the game’s opening theme, sung by Kurokumo, and made by 164.
