Bandai Namco published a new trailer for One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4, showing the various online co-op modes in action. These modes were first detailed by Bandai Namco via magazines and leaked beforehand. This is the first time, however, that we’re seeing said modes in the flesh. We’ve got all the details and the trailer included below.
We have four different modes confirmed in One Piece Pirate Warriors 4:
- The first mode is Giant Boss vs 4 Co-op Players. Four players need to cooperate and defeat a giant-sized character controlled by the AI.
- The second mode is Joint Bounty Battles, where four allied players need to survive and keep fighting to raise their own bounty. We can see some of it near the end of the trailer.
- The third mode is Timed Defense Battle, where four allied players defend their territory against the AI during a time limit.
- The fourth mode is Territory Battle, where three teams of four players fight each other for the biggest territory.
Co-op modes in Musou games are always a huge plus and it’s nice to see it included in this new iteration. One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4 also comes with the usual split-screen co-op.
Bandai Namco also published multiple character trailers, introducing Big Mom, Kaido, Basil Hawkins, Trafalgar Law, Rob Lucci, and Sabo.
One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4 was announced with a first trailer in July 2019 by Bandai Namco, and is the first One Piece Musou game since 2015. Multiple trailers have been released, showing some of the new playable characters, and introducing the various modes of the game.
Honestly speaking, the co-op trailer tries a bit too hard and is too sensational for my tastes, but it does the job. You can check it out for yourself below. One Piece Pirate Warriors 4 will be available on March 27, 2020, on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam.
