A lot of publishers brought their titles with significant discounts to the market during last week’s Black Friday deals, and FIFA 21 has been the best-selling title among all the other rivals.

According to GameIndustry, last week was a successful sale experience for most of the big games that had been launched in 2020. Over one million boxed games have been sold in the UK’s physical market, though it’s still 20% lower than last year’s Black Friday week.

The biggest winner of this year’s Black Friday was EA’s FIFA 21 that saw significant discounts on its Champions and Ultimate editions. With a 35% increase in sales compared to the previous weekFIFA 21 managed to beat Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War for the first place.

Activision’s new iteration of the Call of Duty series, fell to second place in its third week of launch, offering no discounts on Black Friday which resulted in a 48% decrease in sales compared to the week before the last. Assassin’s Creed Valhalla experienced the same thing and stepped down to the fifth place of the table.

On the other hand, Nintendo’s Animal Crossing New Horizons, the game has already been nominated for the best game of the year at The Game Awards 2020, raised its sales by 58% compared to the last week, and jumped to third place of the table from its previous 8th place. Almost 38% of all sales from last week belong to Nintendo’s titles which is an outstanding performance for the company.

Below you can check out the full table:

Last Week              This Week Title
2 1 FIFA 21
1 2 Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War
8 3 Animal Crossing: New Horizons
9 4 Mario Kart 8: Deluxe
4 5 Assassin’s Creed Valhalla

12 7 Marvel’s Avengers
10 8 Minecraft (Switch)
11 9 Super Mario 3D All-Stars

With November ending today, most of the year’s big titles have already celebrated their launch, except for Ubisoft’s Immortals: Fenyx Rising, and of course, CDPR’s Cyberpunk 2077, which can easily win the top of the table from its launch date as there are no big rivals to be able to beat it in December 2020.
