Originally released last summer on Nintendo Switch, Octopath Traveler quickly became a critical and commercial hit thanks to its unique blend of retro JRPG gameplay with a stunning visual style, and now PC players will finally get to experience the acclaimed RPG for themselves in just under two months.

Square Enix has officially confirmed that Octopath Traveler will be heading to PC on June 7, 2019 with a newly-unveiled Steam page and an announcement trailer, which you can find below.

This isn’t a huge surprise as several bits of information in the past few weeks suggested that the game would be coming to PC. The first hint came from a Korean Ratings Board listing from earlier this month, while last week Square Enix published (and immediately removed) a blog post on the PC release that seemingly went up earlier than intended.

While the cat might have been let out of the bag a little early, the PC release of Octopath Traveler is still a nice surprise for those that might not have been able to play the title on Nintendo Switch when it first released last year. No other details have come up just yet on whether the PC version will have any additional features compared to the Switch version, but even if this is just a straight port, fans of old-school JRPGs will still be in for a nice treat.

Octopath Traveler is available now on Nintendo Switch, while the PC version of the game will be coming on June 7, 2019. For a closer look at what to expect, you can check out the PC version’s announcement trailer below:
