Since its introduction several years ago, Xbox One’s growing library of backwards compatible titles has long been a fan favorite feature of the console, and Microsoft is doubling down on that even more with a newly-added title and several other backwards compatible titles getting a fresh coast of Xbox One X-enhanced paint.

During Microsoft’s most recent episode of its Inside Xbox broadcast, it was confirmed that Ninja Gaiden 2 is now available in the growing library of Xbox One backwards compatible titles, allowing those with either an Xbox 360 physical copy or digital version to play the title on their Xbox One.

In addition to the inclusion of Ninja Gaiden 2 to the backwards compatibility library, Microsoft also confirmed that several titles from the Fable and Splinter Cell series will be updated with support for Xbox One X enhancements, allowing those with the premium-end Xbox console to experience these titles with improved resolution and technical performance. Specifically, those Xbox One X enhancements will be coming to Fable 2 and Fable 3, while Splinter Cell: Double Agent, Conviction, and Blacklist will also be gaining these new features starting today.

It’s been a busy week for Microsoft, as the company officially announced that its E3 2019 press conference will take place on Sunday, June 9 to kick off the week’s festivities, along with finally confirming that it will release a digital-only Xbox console in a few weeks with the Xbox One S All-Digital Edition. Finally, Microsoft is also looking to sweeten its service offerings with the newly-announced Xbox Game Pass Ultimate bundle, which packs together Xbox Live and Game Pass together for a lower monthly price of $14.99.
