Fortnite is the game that just continues to grow. Epic Games’ ultra-popular battle royal is now played by millions all over the globe. Part of the reason the game has such a large playerbase is due to the constant changes and updates. Epic regularly adds new skins from instantly recognisable franchises, changes the map and throws in new challenges for players to complete. Alongside that, they regularly offer maintenance patches to keep the game flowing smoothly, like the Fortnite Update on March 4.

What’s in Today’s Fortnite Update (March 4)

Sadly, nothing major is happening. Instead, this update is likely being rolled out in order to fix some issues caused by Tuesday’s recent 15.50 update. Epic has confirmed the update is rolling out on console and PC right now and that there will be no server downtime. Epic’s full message was as follows:

We’ve begun to deploy a maintenance patch on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC that improves game stability. You will be prompted to download the patch at the end of your match or when launching the game. No server downtime will be required.

What changed in Fortnite Update 15.50?

The main change in the most recent Fortnite update is the fact that the Hand Cannon headed back to the vault, while another item returned. Epic also added “New Island size in Creative & localized Featured Creative Hub support” and fixed a load of bugs and issues – unfortunately potentially causing one or two more.

What’s next for Fortnite?

Speculation is high that lot’s of new and exciting things are headed to the game. Recently, players got the news about the latest skin from the Icon Range, this time from Australian Content Creator Lazarbeam.

There is also lots of talk around the end of the latest season within the game. Players are speculating that a new live event will be on its way to bring the season to a thrilling close.
