NBA 2K19 is due out in just about one month so it seems that 2K Sports and Visual Concepts have decided that today is the perfect time to unveil the basketball sim’s first gameplay footage.

This new video for NBA 2K19 is only about a minute long and it, well, probably looks about like you’d expect. Along with some improved visuals from NBA 2K18 and an accompanying track from Jay Rock, this first gameplay footage of NBA 2K19 puts the spotlight on a variety of stars in the league as well as showing off the game’s cover athlete, Giannis Antetokounmpo.

Most notably, this trailer also features the first appearance of LeBron James in his Los Angeles Lakers gear. As one of NBA 2K19’s cover athletes, LeBron will likely be featured heavily in marketing materials and trailers for the game as we approach release. This trailer’s title “Take the Crown” is a reference to the nicknamed King James and challenges players to try to surpass him.

You can check out the first gameplay trailer for the game below. Currently, NBA 2K19 is scheduled to release on September 11 for PS4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC.

If you haven’t reserved your own copy of NBA 2K19 ahead of launch, you can still jaunt on over to Amazon to pre-order it right now.
