In the past year, Minecraft‘s popularity has witnessed exponential growth with a large number of streamers and players playing the game on a regular basis. With a massive update slated to arrive soon, the game is all set to grow even further in the days to come
The developers had recently announced that the Caves and Cliffs Update will now be arriving in two parts, with the first one coming as early as Summer. There is still a while to go for that to release, and before that, the developers are testing some of the features by releasing them via Snapshot and beta updates.

When will Minecraft 1.17 Snapshot 21w18a release?
Every week, a new Snapshot is released which gives players a chance to try out one of the features of the upcoming update. Minecraft 1.17 Snapshot 21w18a is slated to release today. The Snapshot is usually released at around 3PM GMT everyday, so expect the same today as well.

CHANGES IN 21W17A
- Small Dripleaves can now also be placed on Moss Blocks
- Copper Ore drops 2-3 raw Copper when mined, or more when using a tool enchanted with Fortune
- Copper Blocks are now crafted from 9 Copper Ingots
- Tweaked the texture of raw Metal blocks

- Large Ore Veins have been tweaked
- Added noodle caves – thinner, squigglier, and more claustrophobic variant of spaghetti caves

- Ore veins are now slightly rarer and slightly smaller (but they are still large!)
- The ores in the vein are clumpier and less evenly distributed
- If you are lucky you may find a raw ore block in the vein

- MC-203745 – Repeated teleport between dimensions causes the entity to duplicate on the client
