It seems that those subscribed to Xbox Games Pass will finally be able to pre-load soon-to-launch titles after Corporate Vice President of Xbox, Mike Ybarra announced the feature on Twitter.

According to the below Tweet, players have been requesting the Xbox Games Pass pre-load feature enough for the men and women behind the subscription service for Xbox One to notice.

Ybarra confirmed that the feature is available now, and also announced that Crackdown 3 is available to pre-load for both PC and Xbox One. One person did ask that if it’s available to pre-load, why not just launch Crackdown 3 now? As Yabarra responded, pre-loading only installs part of the game, and this just makes the downloading of the rest of it a shorter process on launch day.

One user asked if other titles would be getting the same treatment, using Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden as an example of a title coming out in a few weeks. Ybarra confirmed that this will also be getting pre-loading.

Another user mentioned that they hope that there will be a Windows Game Pass, with Ybarra saying “Me too.”. So there could be something in the works, although we have heard plans that Xbox Games Pass will be expanding to PC over at Windows Central.

Finally, someone grabbed a picture of their pre-loaded Crackdown 3, so if you wanted to see confirmation that it’s available now, here you go. Bear in mind that Crackdown 3 doesn’t officially launch until February 2019.

Back in June of this year, Xbox Games Pass launched a year ago and details on what it had achieved surfaced.

Starting from now, titles due to be arriving onto Xbox Games Pass can now be pre-loaded.
