“I always work at optimal capacity.” – EDI

With Mass Effect Legendary Edition just a day away from release, players new and old are preparing to enter into the deep and complex universe.

Initially released all the way back in 2007 on the Xbox 360, Mass Effect told the story of protagonist Commander Shepard and their quest to stop the rogue Spectre Saren Arterius from leading an army of sentient machines, called the Geth, to conquer the galaxy.

Players can look forward to around 90 hours of the main story and if feeling a little braver, 120 hours that includes all the DLC and side stories. If that sounds like too much of a commitment, how about some cosplay from the game instead?

Mass Effect EDI Cosplay

If you’re unfamiliar with EDI, pronounced ‘Eee-Dee’, allow me to give you a short run-down. When EDI was introduced in Mass Effect 2, she described herself as the Enhanced Defense Intelligence, or EDI, and for good reason.

With incredible intelligence and hacking skills, EDI can sync into hostile ships to gain control of them as well as obtaining combat skills when she’s in her robot body.

It’s obvious why so many cosplayer want to become this unique and highly skilled android.

Taking over EDI’s body and soul is cosplayer Star Nacho from Kraków, Poland. Nacho has been on the cosplay scene for some time now by previously cosplaying as Auriel, the Archangel of Hope, from the Diablo franchise and the Mandalorian.

Although all of Nacho’s cosplays are brilliant, I think she did herself proud with this amazing Mass Effect EDI cosplay. Check out that gun!

If you’d like to see how the gun was made, make sure to head over to Nacho’s YouTube channel to view a step by step guide. You can also follow Nacho on Instagram.

Mass Effect Legendary Edition will be available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Origin, and Steam on May 14.
