In Capcom’s newest 15-minute long gameplay trailer, we see Claire Redfield battle her way through a dark, heart-pumping chain of events where she faces terrifying lickers and comes face to face with Brian Irons. The gameplay gives a clearer idea of what we will face when Resident Evil 2 releases on January 25th, 2019.

We see Kristen, Sid, and Mike from Capcom commentate and take part in the gameplay which involves Claire running around mostly in the dark, as you would expect. This is pretty much what Resident Evil fans want to see due to the intensity that surrounds it and the feeling that at any minute, a licker could jump out.

Throughout the game, Claire comes across a young girl who she is trying to help, but as we can see in the gameplay trailer a man by the name of Brian Irons holds Claire at gunpoint and runs off with the little girl. While Claire is able to re-arm herself, she now needs to find another way to pursue them as a locked gate stands in her way.

This is when we get to see the lickers in HD, which are as terrifying as they ever were. They may be blind, but that such as hell doesn’t stop them.

Last month, Capcom revealed a new trailer highlighting classic costumes from the original Resident Evil 2 for Leon and Claire that will be wearable in the Resident Evil 2 remake.
