At yesterday’s Square Enix Presentation, Tomb Raider: Definitive Survivor Trilogy was officially announced as part of the franchise’s 25th-anniversary celebrations. For those who were eager for any kind of information on a new Tomb Raider game, unfortunately, they’ll have to wait for now but you do get a nice cookbook if that helps any?

The Tomb Raiding archaeologist, Ms Croft, has been a staple within the video game world since 1996 leading the way for many strong female characters. Thankfully, since the 90s, Lara’s appearance has since improved, trashing those triangle breasts and outdated mechanics that were heavily influenced by the platforming of the 16-bit gaming era with a fresh and more appealing all-around experience.

As much as we love the new and improved Lara, there’s still something about that classic Croft that brings back many memories for those old enough to remember titles like Tomb Raider 3. To take us on a trip down that nostalgia laced lane, cosplayer ‘enjinight’ rolls back the years in her stunning retro Lara Croft cosplay.

Her Deviant Art page alone has more than 36.3K watchers and 2.4 million page views.

Lara Croft Cosplay

Lara is certainly a highly popular character for cosplayers but as we can see from her pictures, Night takes it one step further. Night takes on the character’s classic costume in a turquoise tank top, light brown shorts and calf-high boots including Lara’s fingerless gloves and a utility belt with holsters on either side from her two pistols. Taking the retro look to the extreme, Night slips on a pair of old-school, round red glasses that can be seen worn by Lara in the older titles of Tomb Raider.

Poking fun at Croft’s unrealistic pointy breasts, Night comes in with another classic Lara look that showcases the character as she once appeared in the series long ago and that thankfully hasn’t made a comeback.
