Another Battle Royale game enters the ring but this time, with balls!

If you have been hankering for another Battle Royale game but are tired of all those blasted guns, you will be in for a nice surprise in EA’s upcoming dodgeball title, Knockout City.

Instead of running and gunning, you’ll be running and balling (that sounded better in my head). The development team behind the game, Velan Studios, hope to line themselves up with the likes of Battle Royale giants Fortnite and Call of Duty but with a very different twist.

As you make your way around Knockcity, you’ll stumble upon five unique maps that offer players different strategies on how they could get that ball knockout the quickest.

What are the Maps included in Knockout City?

At launch, Velan Studios have implemented five maps to offer players more variety when it comes to competitive gameplay. The maps so far are:

  • Rooftop Rumble
  • Concussion Yard
  • Knockout Roundabout
  • Back Alley Brawl
  • Galaxy Burger

In each map, players will find different ways that could help them take home the W. For instance, in Back Alley Brawl, there are tubes that take players from one side of the map to the other which is great for trying to get away or sneak up on your enemy.

The Galaxy Burger map is a cosmic-themed burger area that has constantly rotating as walls which offers a difficulty level to spice things up a little.

Players can use landmarks around the perimeter of the map to keep track of where they are and also as reference points for call-outs to teammates as currently, there’s no minimap.

Knockout City releases May 21, 2021, on PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, Origin, Steam, and Epic Games Store. The game also offers full backwards compatibility on the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.
